Oskorp Facade Black A2 is applied directly from the roll in horizontal or vertical alignment on the facade. Use double-sided adhesive tape strips or mechanical fixings as staples to attach Oskorp Facade Black A2 to the substrate. Membrane joints and overlaps must be carried out with an overlap of at least 10cm. They can be sealed by using the suitable adhesive tape OskorpT Facade tape A2. Use the façade substructure or counter battens to secure ME017 to the facade from the outside in the long term.
Oskorp Facade Black A2 is especially suitable as breathable facade membrane for buildings with increased fire protection requirements. In combination with the Oskorp Facade tape A2, it is used as an external breather membrane to cover entire façade areas which require a good weather resistance and the reaction to fire classification class A2-s1,d0 according to EN13501-1.

The technical data has been compiled on the basis of the latest state of the art; however, due to the variety of substrates and object conditions, the user is not released from his obligation to test the material for its suitability for the intended use under the respective object conditions in a professional and workmanlike manner.
Need clarification?
What makes Oskorp Firewall different from standard WRBs?
Oskorp Firewall is classified as A2-s1,d0 under EN 13501-1 — meaning it’s non-combustible with no flaming droplets or smoke development. Most standard WRBs are B-Class or lower and cannot match its fire performance, especially for high-rise or code-regulated projects.
Can Oskorp Firewall be used behind open-joint façades?
Yes. Thanks to its black UV-resistant surface and 9-month open exposure rating, Oskorp Firewall is an excellent choice for ventilated rainscreens and open cladding systems.
Is the membrane breathable?
Yes. Firewall is highly breathable and vapor-open, allowing moisture to escape from the wall assembly while still being watertight (W1 rating) and windproof.
Where is Oskorp Firewall required?
Firewall is ideal for:
-
High-rise buildings
-
Schools, hospitals, airports
-
Mixed-use and commercial façades
-
Any project where non-combustibility or fire regulations require A2-rated materials.
Is it easy to install?
Absolutely. Firewall is flexible and durable with high tensile strength, making it robust on site. For best performance, we recommend pairing it with Oskorp Facade Tape A2.
